LOCAL ECHO DISTRIBUTOR RAISES FUNDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH

LOUISVILLE, KY. (Oct. 27, 2011) – ECHO Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of professional-grade, high-performance outdoor power equipment for commercial and residential use, today recognized Midwest Equipment & Supply Co., Inc., an authorized distributor for ECHO and Shindaiwa in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, for the company’s efforts to raise critical funds for cancer research.

 

In what has become an annual showing of generosity, the Gibson Southern High School girls’ golf team, Ft. Branch, Ind., along with other local high school teams, have collected donations for cancer research through the “Golf For The Cure” tournament. This year, Midwest Equipment provided pink ECHO hats for “Golf For The Cure” participants to wear during the charity golf tournament. The teams raised money and presented a check to the American Cancer Society in memory of one of the player's mothers, who passed away earlier this year from brain cancer.

 

Midwest Equipment also sponsored a special dealer promotion with pink ECHO hats and ECHO “Get Serious” hats. For every bulk order of 12 hats purchased by an ECHO dealer, the distributor donated $20. For every single hat order, they donated one dollar to either the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Cancer Society. A total of $750 in funds raised from the purchase of pink ECHO hats were donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, while a total of $500 in funds raised from the purchase of the ECHO “Get Serious” hats were donated to the American Cancer Society.
