The Problem
The fuel line on some Echo power hand tools may develop an “alligator surface” appearance that could develop into a condition that could allow the seepage of gasoline through the wall of the fuel line. The leaking gasoline and vapor could result in a fire, which could cause serious personal injury.
The Product Involved
The Echo products involved in this recall were all manufactured between February 2003 through November 2003, and were sold to the public during and after that time period.

The Solution
If you have a tool affected by this recall, please stop using the tool immediately. Because of the potential fire hazard, the tool must have the fuel line removed and replaced with a fuel line that will eliminate the potential hazard. Take your tool to an authorized Echo dealer for free repair.
If you are no longer in possession of a tool involved in this recall, please immediately forward to us the name and address of the person who has custody of the tool.
